1. Introduction

GoClipIt ("we", "us", "our") operates the go-clip-it.com website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and profile picture from Google or Steam when you sign in.
• Usage data: clips you create, publish, like, or comment on.
• Technical data: anonymized view counts using hashed IP and User-Agent (we do not store raw IP addresses).
• Settings: your preferences such as language, clip format, and notification choices.
• Purchase data: for Clipit and Founder purchases we keep the payment provider's transaction or invoice identifier, the amount, currency and status, and your Clipit balance history. If you pay through lava.top, we also keep the email address used for that payment. For the one-time Clipit bonus we store a hashed IP address (never the raw address) so the bonus cannot be claimed repeatedly from the same connection.
• Approximate location: when you open the site we derive your country from your IP address to show the payment method and currency available to you. The lookup happens on our server against a local database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP, creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0); the result is not stored and the address is not sent anywhere.
• Notification channels you connect: a browser push subscription (an opaque endpoint and keys issued by your browser, no personal data), a Telegram chat id or a Discord webhook. Used only to send you clip and match notifications; removed when you disconnect the channel.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• To authenticate you and keep your session active.
• To display community content and personalize your experience.

4. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (cs2_session) required for authentication. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your language preference is stored in your browser's localStorage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Published clips are visible to other users on the community feed. We use Google and Steam for sign-in, and Paddle to process Founder subscription payments (see Payments below) — please refer to their respective privacy policies. Beyond these providers, we do not share your personal information with third parties.

If you pay through lava.top (available for payments from Russia and Belarus), we pass lava.top the email address for your receipt — your account email, or the one you type in the payment window if your account has none — together with the product and the amount. lava.top (Lavalane LTD, Cyprus) then processes the payment under its own privacy policy.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, signed session tokens, and secure credential storage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Payments

Founder subscriptions are processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment details, tax calculation, invoices, and subscription billing. GoClipIt does not store card numbers, bank details, CVC codes, or full billing addresses; we only store Paddle identifiers, subscription status, entitlement state, and minimal metadata needed to provide Founder features.

Clipit packs can be paid by card through Paddle (merchant of record) or, from Russia and Belarus, through lava.top, which acts as a payment agent. In both cases the payment details are entered on the provider's own page: GoClipIt never receives or stores card numbers, bank details or CVC codes.
